The Forest Biodiversity Research Network is a group of researchers working together to answer some of today’s most pressing biodiversity-related questions

Our network spans multiple institutions, but we are based at Oregon State University, home to world-renowned PhD-level researchers focusing on biodiversity-related questions around the globe.

Our mission is to facilitate research that:

  • advances scientific understanding of global forest biodiversity

  • fosters conservation of native species and places while providing for a diversity of societal objectives

  • Guides decision-making consistent with an ethic that values both human and ecological communities
