The Forest Biodiversity Research Network is a group of researchers working together to answer some of today’s most pressing biodiversity-related questions

Our network spans multiple institutions, but we are based at Oregon State University, home to ~50 world-renowned PhD-level researchers focusing on biodiversity-related questions around the world.

Our mission

To facilitate research that:

  • advances scientific understanding of global forest biodiversity,

  • fosters conservation of native species and places while providing for a diversity of societal objectives, and

  • guides decision-making consistent with an ethic that values both human and ecological communities
